Byron Shire Respite Service Inc is an incorporated association. What does this mean? Simply put, it means that we are an association comprised of members who can vote to elect members of the volunteer Management Committee. Members pay a tax-deductible one-off registration fee of $2 and a yearly membership fee of $1, also tax deductible. Members can then attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting. Memebers can vote other association members onto the Management Committee in either office bearing positions (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary), community positions (Carer Representative, Volunteer Representative Staff Representative and Sector Representative) or a general member. Members also are invited to special events.
