Accessing our Services
Discover how to access our tailored care and support services—whether through CHSP, Home Care Packages, NDIS, or private funding, we’re here to help.
Get the Support You Need
Whether you’re seeking respite care, assistance due to an unexpected event like an accident or illness, or need ongoing support, you can either call us or drop by our centre to discuss your needs. Additionally, another service provider can make a referral on your behalf.
We start with an assessment to determine eligibility and to ensure our services are tailored to your unique situation. That’s because we believe in creating care and support plans that acknowledge your personal history and family, diverse needs, and your goals.
You can participate in our services through the government-subsidised Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), utilise your Home Care Package funds, access our services through the NDIS, or pay for our services privately.

Brokerage for Home Care Packages (HCP)
A Home Care Package (HCP) is a government-funded program that enables older Australians to receive in-home care, supporting them to live independently for as long as possible. HCPs cover a wide range of services, from assistance with household tasks to personal care and transportation for appointments.
While Byron Respite is not a direct HCP provider, we maintain strong brokerage relationships with numerous providers across the region, ensuring our clients continue to receive the quality care they’re accustomed to.
If you are one of our CHSP clients and have recently been approved for a Home Care Package, you can continue to work with our dedicated Byron Respite team. It’s your right to request your HCP provider to broker services from us, ensuring a seamless continuation of care.
If you are an HCP provider interested in partnering with us, please reach out to our Care Office at caremanager@byronshirerespite.com. Let’s explore how we can align our services to benefit your clients.
For details on the financial contribution required under an HCP, please see the tables below.
