When can service be provided?
- The carer is suddenly and temporarily unable to continue to care, as in the case of an accident or illness.
- Respite for employed carers.
A Welcomed Break is provided under the Commonwealth Government’s Flexible Respite and Centre-based Respite Programs that aims to be flexible and responsive to the concerns of the carer and the person for whom they are providing care. This service can work in partnership with other services to provide the best possible care options.
The program operates every weekday and you can participate under the government subsidised Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) or use your Home Care Package funds.
