I could not care for (my husband) without the respite service which he loves. The support to me is beyond any compliments. You all deserve an Order of Australia or more!

I am very happy with the carers, administration and duty of care carried out at the Byron Respite Service. My mother has been with the centre for many years now and still maintains her sense of humour with no medications.
The centre is outstanding! Carer, South Golden Beach
I come to the centre. I love it and when I'm away I think of you. You are all very nice. Day-centre client, Sunrise
Respite care and social support is delivered through our Challenging Behaviour, Day Respite and Social Support projects, which utilise a needs based model of care that pays attention to the strengths of people and what they wish to accomplish in their lives. Our standard of care is reflected in the many testimonials we recieve each year from people who access the Byron Shire Respite Service.
Thankyou for the support and advice for me and the enjoyment, physical and mental stimulation
you provide my husband" Carer, Brunwick Heads
My Dad was someone who would never participate in these sorts of activities but now he looks forward to Tuesdays and has stories to tell me in the evening and what he has done during the day with the careworker" Carer, Lismore
My husband is now talking much better and is much friendlier since attending the centre" Carer, Brunswick Heads
The best service possible. Great staff who are kind and compassionate. Carer, Mullumbimby
The carers are always kind, cheerful and respectful to my husband. He enjoys his days at the centre and the little walks and coffees (and cakes). Many, many thanks.
Excellent Service. Excellent workers. GREAT RECIPE. Less stress and knowing mum is being looked after as good as I can do. What more does a carer need -

Travelling to our area on holidays?
If you are travelling to the lovely Northern Rivers of NSW with a loved one, you may still require respite.
Our experienced care-workers can provide support for as little as 3 hours. Respite can include community inclusion or live-in care options depending on your requirements.
